Deputy PM: Russia not to lift sunflower seed export duty after Aug

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has no plans to cancel a duty on sunflower seed exports after August, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko said on Thursday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Yes, these are unpopular solutions, to set quotas on exports and duties. However, it affects prices in the country. This is why we are not going to cancel the duties, we only finetune this instrument in dialogue with the business," Abramchenko said.

The official confirmed the absence of plans to remove the sunflower seed export duty.
